income survey

Good evening members,

Several weeks ago the Precinct sent out an Income survey to all members within the Precinct. The commissioners retained the services of RCAP, an agency which helps small districts such as ours obtain important information. That informationin this case will be used to acquire more Federal and state grants. Grants which are crucial to funding large projects as the water main replacement we're currently undergoing. Approximately 60% ($6,000,000+/-) of which was Grant funded. I think you can see by those numbers how important the Grant funds are.

In order to receive those funds the Government bodies require information about the district. The income survey is one of those pieces. Without that info we can not qualify for Grants, which means the entire project would have to be paid through rate fees. We have several other projects which need attention and we'll rely upon such funding in the near future.

Please, take a minute to fill out the form sent out several weeks ago and return in the envelope provided which also had postage included. It is critical to performing large projects. NOBODY excluding the 3rd party that RCAP uses will be priviledged to the information provided. The only info we'll receive is an average salary of the precinct members. To date only 28% have returned the study. If we have to send out another mailing it will cost the Precinct an additional $500-$700 in postage, and return envelopes, monies we'd prefer not to expend.

Best Regards!

The commissioners
